“May the Lord Keep You”

My friend Stephen Miller was a great help to me with these songs. His suggestions turned this song from straight ahead rock song into a sort of Steely Dan funk groove. We just took all those major chords I had and made them all seventh chords and voila! Jazz
I also had John Price(Hamilton) on flute and Steve suggested trading licks with flute and guitar. I rearranged the intro to start broken down and earlier and chopped off the ending to keep it in pop song ballpark of we could have gone on for 8 minutes jamming away. Funky Jim Casson doing his Steve Gadd chops, with Steve picking on bass. It was fender rhodes for me all the way.
