“I Pray”

Covid 19 had a major effect on me, not only did I lose all my gigs as most musicians, I started losing friends. Some because of other health issues, as many were affected by the overworked front line health care system. I was sending out prayers, and prayer emojis every day. The song came very quickly. I went "Swingle Singers" with the harmony arrangement and that took a while. I created a funky beat using a hip-hop kit for drums and programmed synths. I love slap bass and it seemed appropriate. Stephen Miller added the cool guitars, and my daughter Hailey did the Video for this song back in April 2021. I’m astounded by what she produced and very proud of her multi religious approach. It’s about the power of prayer.

That was my stage name for the last 30 years. I decided most of my Facebook following knows me now as Joe Ress. It was time to get real and use my real name.
