“Around the Corner”

From a concert stadium to an intro with chirping birds in a meadow and a babbling brook, which I recorded on my phone. This song went through 4 versions inn the writing process. First written as an Eagles style country song, then it went funk, then R n B and finally I decided this song needs is a Jug Band. Jim Casson is a great drummer, I’m lucky to be working with, and has a family cherry farm in Niagara. I said “Jim, can you give me a jug band?”, he said “You want the jug too?” what do you think I said? Thanks to Jenn Kee (Toronto) for her brilliant vocals and harmonies and Stephen Miller who did an outstanding job on banjo. I played my cousin’s accordion from Germany. I think it’s as old as I am. He said, ‘Keep it,” I said, “Thanks Horst.”
